4th ICMGM Call for Abstracts

 Checklist:

Do you have everything you need to submit an abstract for the 4 th ICMGM?

  • The presenting author must be the author who intends to present the abstract at the
    4 th ICMGM.
  • The presenting author should submit the abstract in English through the 4 th ICMGM
    Abstract Submission Portal only.
  •  The abstract must follow our formatting guidelines (section 2).
  • Agree to the 4 th ICMGM terms and conditions (section 3).

 Terms and Conditions:

  • The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in the 4th ICMGM
  • All author(s) approve submitting the abstract for presentation
  • The submitting author will be available to present the abstract if accepted for the program
  • Changes in the abstracts are not possible after submission
  • The author(s) transfer(s) all copyright ownership of the named abstract to the 4th ICMGM
  • Submission of the contact details provided are those of the submitter/presenter of the abstract. Notification will be emailed only to the submitting/presenting author
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes consent of all authors of the abstract to publication in the Journal of Nature and Science of Medicine, and on the 4th ICMGM website.
  • All authors of the abstract warrant and represent that they either are the sole owners of, or have all necessary rights to, sublicense all the information and content in the abstract provided to 4th ICMGM and its 4th ICMGM organizers, and that publication of the abstract does not infringe any rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights, or of any third parties
  • All authors of the abstract grant 4th ICMGM a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute and display the abstract
  • 4th ICMGM reserves the right to remove from any publication any abstract that does not comply with the above

 Abstract Submission Requirements:

  • Submission should be linked to a person registered for the conference (login)
  • Fill out the Submission Form in the 4th ICMGM Abstract Submission Portal

Deadline for Submission of Abstract:  03 December 2019

 Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the Presenter’s e-mail address. Scientific Committee’s decisions will be based upon evaluation of its scientific standard and its relation to mass gatherings.

  • Abstract Topics/Categories:

Please choose the best-fitting abstract topic to ensure a sound and fair review by the most suitable reviewing expert.

  • Title
  • The Title is limited to 40 characters or 10 words only
  • Abstract titles should be short and descriptive, with no abbreviations
  • Titles in ALL CAPS (other than abbreviations or acronyms) are not allowed
  • Abstract Body Format
  • The text must be formatted in Arial font size 10. ALL CAPS for text (other thanabbreviations or acronyms) are not allowed
  • The abstract must be concise and contain a maximum of 300 words inclusive of the following sections:
    • Introduction
    • Methodology
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
  • Abstracts should not contain any tables or figures
  • Keywords
  • Authors should include three keywords to better define the abstract content
  • General Guidelines
  • Only abstracts submitted in English will be reviewed
  • Presenting author to be the first named author on the abstract
  • The use of abbreviations and acronyms should be kept to a minimum
  • Abstracts should be original work, not previously presented at an International Meeting
  • Poster requirements will be sent with the Acceptance Letter.

E-Poster Guidelines:

The Poster should be a visual presentation of the submitted abstract and should meet the following criteria:

Design:

We suggest designing the E-Poster layout in the following sections:

  •  Title, author, affiliation and address
  • Introduction/background and aims
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • References

In the upper left-hand corner of the E-Poster, clearly note your Abstract number
In the upper right-hand corner of the E-Poster, place your Institution and contact details

Title:

  •  The title should be the same as the accepted abstract
  • Title should be cantered at the top of the E-Poster
  • The title should be emphasised by the use of a bold type face

Layout:

  •   The E-Poster must be in a single page portrait orientation

Lettering:

  •   The poster should be easily readable
  • Do not use all-capital text, as it is difficult to read.
  • Avoid using a mixture of type/font styles
  • Use clear fonts and contrasting colours

General guidelines:

  • The message of the E-Poster should be clear and understandable without the requirement of oral  explanation
  • The aims of the study, the question to be asked or the hypothesis to be tested should be clearly and succinctly stated (in as few words as possible)
  • Briefly outline the methods. Provide details only for new methods or important modifications of older ones
  • Results should be presented graphically if possible. Avoid large tables of data. Results should be in line with those originally submitted in the abstract
  • The conclusions should be succinctly stated. Many attendees read this first, hence it should be easy to understand
  • Keep text to a minimum – use bullets, they’re easier to read
  • Make the poster sections simple, concise and visually attractive. Emphasize graphics
  • Limit abbreviations and unnecessary text; balance text and figures
  • Use pictures, symbols and colour. Figure legends are essential and should be short but informative. If using graphs, they should have a short heading
  • Please note that you are requires to list any disclosures at the end of the E-Poster
  • To promote your work you may like to bring handouts of your E-Poster for distribution to interested delegates
